Kibbi is currently enrolled as a double major student in both Graphic Design and Fine Arts. The exhibited work is part of his series of paintings Apocalyptic City which portray local landmarks such as the iconic Borj El Murr and the Raifc Hariri Mosque in a state of decay. Inspired by the architecture of Beirut, Kibbi’s representation of a post-apocalyptic scene of Beirut’s modern cityscape is a commentary on the inner chaos of the city and resulting effect on Beirut’s landscape over the years.
